Nas’ great achievements
Hearing the ocean waves and feeling the sand between your toes with a day at the beach is something many Australian’s enjoy. Our client Nas has long dreamed of spending a carefree day at the beach and through local accessibility initiatives, her dream recently came true.
Chasing waterfalls
Afford Resident, Jodie, from Pakenham Supported Accommodation, is a determined woman who never lets anything stop her from achieving her dreams. She recently ticked off one of her bucket list goals, which was seeing a waterfall up close on a trip to Steavenson’s Falls.
Respite, relaxation and adventure
Jamie recently had an adventurous stay at his home away from home, the Banksia Beach Respite. The short-term accommodation in Queensland opened in early May and has already been a hit with the locals.
SLES full steam ahead
It was all aboard at Penrith Station for a group of our NSW School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) trainees who were treated to a VIP industry visit at Sydney Trains.
SLES experience the ANZAC Spirit
Thanks to funding secured in 2019 through the ANZAC Community Grant Program by NSW Government’s Veterans Affairs, our NSW SLES trainees had a heartfelt experience at the Hyde Park ANZAC War Memorial.

Blue Mountains Winter Wonderland

You’ve got the Sailability
A day out sailing on the water with the wind in your hair is a picture-perfect scene is what our Southport Community Centre clients experience weekly with the Sailability program. Our clients of all abilities are finding their sea legs and experiencing the freedom to sail along the sea.
Green Light for Car Show
Worrigee Supported Accommodation residents were transported back to the 1950s at the Huskisson Car Show, with the sounds of revving engines and old tunes pumping. SLES Promote Mental Health Awareness
Understanding mental health and breaking down the societal stigma’s around it is an important cause close to the hearts of many Affordian’s.
With men’s health week taking place from the 14th to the 20th of June, our SLES Caboolture and Ipswich sites got into the right frame of mind by hosting a mind, body and soul event.
The Secret Garden
Alfred and Jacob from Blacktown Community Centre had a magical day out experiencing the secret garden, an interactive floral exhibition hidden away at The Grounds of Alexandria. The friends were whisked away to what felt like a magical land from a fairytale. They were spent the day exploring, enjoying the sunshine and jamming on the piano.
Living the Afford Lifestyle
